  4. Read the auto insurance candidate handbook. You are encouraged to read the handbook before registering for the licensure exam in respective states. The handbook could be available for free from certain websites.
  5. Take the exam. After registering you can now choose a schedule for taking the exam. If you pass the exam you will receive your test score and a wallet size license and a photo.
