Role Value Proposition:
The Senior Analyst is responsible for the ongoing management, stability, and delivery of critical meeting and event productions leveraging MetLife's video streaming platform. This role will be primarily focused on providing and maintaining stable, reliable, resilient, secure and practical video streaming and broadcast services within MetLife. This will be accomplished through a combination of internal
controls and appropriate management of MetLife's external service providers, to include both on-premise and off-premise cloud solutions.
The Senior Analyst will be cross functional and assist with video conferencing, team collaboration and enterprise voice infrastructure. This position will also be responsible for the best-practices prevention of service impacting issues, identification and reaction to problems as they occur, and immediate response to ensuring service continuity. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of similar experience in a large enterprise setting. A high level of understanding within the Cisco product line will provide a higher likelihood of success.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver on Streaming & Event Production initiatives including, but not limited to, video streaming and broadcast, video bridging solutions, video room system deployments, infrastructure management, 3rd party systems integration, desktop and mobile clients, security, enterprise voice and video streaming
Manage, update, and maintain deep understanding of video streaming platform providing enterprise streaming globally
Deliver video streaming solutions that improve reliability, scale, and performance of live streams across a global team
Proactively maintain and monitor platform to ensure a seamless, stable, natural, and uninterrupted video streaming experience for end-users
Cultivate a strong relationship with C-Suite MetLife executives
Assist in the production of Quarterly Earnings Calls, Board of Directors Meetings, and Shareholder’s Meetings.
Work with internal Operations and external 3rd party vendors to resolve complex end user issues
Participate in the design and deployment of new UCC/Multimedia systems solutions and projects
Participate and facilitate integration and end user acceptance testing
Document process, solutions to common problems and responses to frequently asked questions. Creates and submits documented resolution to knowledge base for Operations, Help Desk and third party providers
Perform analysis of the networking problems as well as provide highest-level crisis management
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required Experience:
5 years in
Television/Event Production experience
Ability to pioneer new initiatives in an exciting, changing environment while concurrently applying standardized solutions and facilitating end-user adoption
Candidates who show a keen understanding of Streaming & Event Production, UCC, A/V, and Multimedia technologies with an equal level of competence operating in a dynamic, growing, changing and highly socialized environment will be best suited for success in this position
3 years in a technical role comprised of the direct management and maintenance of network, UCC, Video Conferencing, Multimedia, A/V, Video Streaming infrastructure, with management of global infrastructure a plus
5 years’ experience with equipment operation experience in live event environment
3 years’ experience with vendor assessment and management
5 years of experience with Video Streaming products (Microsoft Stream, Kaltura, vBrick, Qumu, Haivision, etc.).
Broadcast Engineer level communications troubleshooting skills.
The ability to configure, capture and analyze routes and traces.
The ability to analyze and troubleshoot conference room A/V routing.
Proficient with the RTMP and DNA tools.
Preferred Experience:
5 years of experience working with IP protocols (http, TS via multicast, RTMP, RTSP) for live streaming delivery over the leading content distribution networks (e. g., Azure, AWS, Akamai, Level3, etc.)
5 years of experience with Cisco Unified Communication and Collaboration products.
2 years of experience with Cisco Route/Switch products.
The ability to train, direct and coordinate the activities of junior team members.
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or related networking, voice, or video certification
