What you'll be doing
The client is looking for someone who: represents client health products by selling and working existing business associated with the brokerage. Essential functions of Role: responsible for selling new business. Effectively work within a team environment. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of benefit design, deadlines, and new changes regarding the ACA. Responding to calls from current group and individual members. Monitors business/industry conditions, customer developments and competitive activities. Uses a consultative sales approach. Establish and maintain a high level of credibility with underwriting and other business partners/ functions.
What your background should be
Five years sales experience with three years preferable in employee benefits. Must be currently licensed to sell insurance (health, life, and /or disability) in the state where business is conducted. Must have a valid state driving license, clean driving record, drivers abstract required. Demonstrates proficiency in desktop application software including email, Word processing, Spreadsheets and creating presentations. Demonstrates fully proficient verbal/written presentation skills.
Required Schooling / Training
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
