What you'll be doing
The major responsibilities of the customer relations representative are to develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services. The incumbent will establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed. Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification. The individual responsible for the asking position will also work with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals. He/she will use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options. The person will also maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day.
What your background should be
Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred. Applicant should be enthusiastic about the role insurance and financial products play in helping people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams. Excellent interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills-written, verbal and listening; good organizational skills; ability to work in a team environment; ability to multi-task; and ability to make presentations to potential customers are expected factors.
